The Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) is officially disbanded, effective May 22nd.

 

DCED has been replaced by the Department of Opportunity and Resident Services (DORS) and the Office of Strategic Growth (OSG).

OSG handles large-scale development and neighborhood projects.

​

DORS facilitates smaller-scale neighborhood projects that do not require underwriting (think placemaking, gateway signage, etc.), ​Community Council support, homeownership and homelessness initiatives, and residential tax abatements for single-family homes.
