Mayor Mark Mallory and Procter & Gamble announced that P&G will move approximately 650 jobs to their Downtown Cincinnati world headquarters.

"P&G's decision is further proof that companies want to be a part of what is going on in Cincinnati," Mayor Mark Mallory said. "P&G is a big part of the fabric of Cincinnati. Once again, they are leading the way in the growth and vitality of our city."

The new jobs will increase P&G's payroll for employees in Cincinnati by approximately $30 million, resulting in $630,000 in additional payroll tax revenue that will help provide City services to all neighborhoods. Bringing 650 new jobs to Downtown will mean more people on the streets, eating at restaurants, shopping at the stores, and adding to the vitality of Downtown.

P&G is moving the 650 jobs from its Governor's Hill location.

P&G's announcement builds on the City of Cincinnati's recent success in attracting new businesses and encouraging the expansion of existing businesses. Last year, the City of Cincinnati secured nearly 2,500 new jobs despite the recession. So far, this year the City has secured another 650 new jobs before the P&G announcement. Companies like Medpace, US Bank, Humana, FirstGroup, dunnhumbyUSA, Kendle, Neyer Properties, Graeter's, Macy's, and Kao Brands either decided to add jobs or move jobs to Cincinnati.
