Starbuck-Pape Family Ltd, plans to renovate a building at 205 West Elder Street in Over-the-Rhine into a mixed-use commercial and residential facility. The building is at the southwest corner of Elm and West Elder streets, across the street from Findlay market and Globe Furniture. The building will be remodeled to include four residential units, 3,000 square feet of office space, and 5,700 square feet of retail space. Remodeling of the building is expected to achieve LEED certification.
Construction costs are estimated to total $1,176,380. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The project is named “Crown Building” and has been registered with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) as LEED for Homes Multi-Family Mid-Rise. LEED for Homes Multi-Family Mid-Rise is a rating system that promotes the design and construction of high-performance green homes. Mid-rise multi-family buildings that are four to six stories high are eligible under this rating system.
