Procter & Gamble, six local firms win Ohio tax credits

Procter & Gamble Co. was a big winner among the job creation tax credit recipients announced Monday by the Ohio Department of Development.
The consumer products company received a 65 percent job creation tax credit and a 65 percent job retention tax credit for 10 years, to consolidate more than 300 jobs at its Winton Hill Business Center in Finneytown. The credits for the $20 million project are worth about $18 million over their term.
A P&G spokeswoman said the jobs are being consolidated from 40 other P&G sites, but wouldn’t provide further details. The company expects to make a decision regarding the siting study in May.
The Department of Development also awarded the following credits to local firms:
- A 35 percent job creation credit worth about $3,700 to digital printing firm Concept Imaging Group Inc. for a $4.8 million project in Springboro that will create 30 jobs.
- A 45 percent job creation credit worth about $301,400 to label printer Eurostampa North America for a $7.2 million project in Cincinnati that will create 24 jobs.
- A 45 percent job creation credit worth about $67,800 to golf equipment marketer Links Unlimited Inc. for a $3.5 million project in Hamilton County that will create 12 jobs.
- A 50 percent job creation credit worth about $154,500 to seasonings and flavorings manufacturer Mane Inc. for a $17.5 million project in Lebanon that will create 30 jobs.
- A 50 percent job creation credit worth about $197,700 to metal building manufacturer NCI Group Inc. for a $12.7 million project in Middletown that will create 74 jobs.
- A 45 percent job creation credit worth about $112,200 to construction equipment distributor Rudd Equipment Co. for a $3 million project in Sharonville that will create 30 jobs.
