Oakley Celebrates New Streetscape
WHAT: Ribbon Cutting of over $9 million of new improvements in and around Oakley Square. This partnership between the City, State of Ohio and Cincinnati Waterworks has resulted in streetscaping the entire core of the Oakley Business district, improved lighting and pedestrian and safety improvements. Also, there are new sidewalks, doubling of the Geier Esplanade, street trees and added traffic improvements, such as turn lanes at Ridge and Madison. This City effort began with a study to find ways to improve pedestrian safety around Oakley Square and blossomed into these major improvements.
