Cincinnati State Technical & Community College will receive a $4.9 million grant using federal stimulus dollars to train high-tech workers in health care.
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, announced grants Friday totaling $19 million to four Ohio colleges or development groups. Cincinnati State, located in Clifton, is the only one in Greater Cincinnati to receive a grant.
The grants are distributed by the Labor Department and target high-growth industries that require workers to have specialized technology training.
“These funds will provide training to Ohioans so they can pursue good paying, high-tech health care jobs,” Brown said in a statement.
