Banks developers unveil new brand, websites

Business Courier of Cincinnati
The developers behind The Banks project on Cincinnati’s riverfront on Tuesday unveiled a new website, new images of what the first phase of the project will look like and a new branding and marketing campaign.

The new campaign centers around the tagline “It’s happening on the river,” and it includes a new logo, marketing materials and an overall brand identity. It’s all unveiled on the project’s new website, which was developed by Strata G Communications, according to a news release by the project’s master development team of Carter and the Dawson Co.

“I think after all these years, it’s hard for people to believe that things are finally happening at the Banks,” Malloy Peterson, Carter’s vice president of marketing, said in a news release. “This campaign, along with the ongoing construction now visible at the site, will help change that perception and start to build interest among the community that the Banks is really taking shape.”

The latest renderings show the first phase of the project nearest Great American Ball Park from street level.

The development team also announced that it has contracted with Village Green Management Co. to be the leasing agent and property manager for the 300 apartments that are part of the development’s first phase.

Another new website has information and updates regarding the public portion of the project. The site at features construction photos, updates and project milestones in safety, budget, inclusion and schedule.

Construction is on schedule with the opening of the east side of the intermodal transit center scheduled for June and a grand opening of the first phase of the private development scheduled for spring 2011.
